KiteMercedes

Bilge Öztürk, the founder of our school and a national athlete, met kiteboarding in 2007. In her own words, the moment she saw "colorful giant butterflies in the air", she fell in love with this sport and her life started to change.

Her kiteboarding adventure started in Hawaii in 2007 and continues today with KiteMercedes in Akyaka. In 2011, she became a national athlete and proceeded to found our school in 2016.

As she said in the She's Mercedes interview, "Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be a lawyer when I grow up. It never occurred to me that there could be a job and a way of life which would feel more natural and truer to myself . Until..."
